2025 Policy Framework
Stronger communities for a safer Oklahoma
The Association champions policies that uphold justice, protect victims, and enhance public safety. The 2025 Policy Framework works with policymakers, law enforcement, and community stakeholders to keep Oklahoma's justice system strong, fair, and responsive to the needs of its citizens.
Priority I
Protecting Children & Domestic Violence Survivors
Strengthening protections and accountability for Oklahoma's most vulnerable, including the statute of limitations on the failure to report child abuse.
Priority II
Tougher Penalties, Trusted Expertise
Stronger penalties for violent crime — gang-enumerated offenses, firearm crimes, and repeat domestic violence — backed by the courtroom record of the state's prosecutors.
Priority III
Securing Schools & Communities
Deterring threats and gun violence to keep Oklahoma's students, schools, and neighborhoods safe.
