Who we are.

The Oklahoma District Attorneys Association (ODAA) was established in 1971 to support the state’s prosecuting attorneys through professional development, legal and technical training, and acting as a voice for sound public policy.

Oklahoma transitioned to a district attorney prosecutorial model in the late 1960s, replacing the state’s previous county attorney system.

For more than half a century, the ODAA has served as an independent nonprofit representing Oklahoma’s prosecutors. ODAA’s role as part of a longstanding and vital public safety structure reflects Oklahoma’s commitment to locally-driven justice.

ODAA has long ensured that Oklahoma’s locally-elected prosecutors have the independence to work for justice and the institutional support they need to carry it out effectively—strengthening the state’s criminal justice system and enhancing public safety for all Oklahomans.
